The Team


You would be joining a team providing world class financial services to our business. You'll be someone who wants to be the best at what they do; who can handle pressure and enjoys making decisions that will have a real impact on our business. Key responsibilities:

Tax compliance

 

  • Ownership of all tax compliance (non-UK & UK) relating to the firm’s operations in allocated non UK and other non-integrated territories
  • Responsible for the overseeing of tax filings and payments, updating of country information and maintenance / monitoring of key deadlines on compliance calendar.
  • Liaison with overseas finance colleagues on local tax compliance requirements to ensure completion on a timely and accurate basis; review draft tax computations/ proposed tax payments & tax return submission
  • Being the primary contact with the firm's auditors for tax related matters in the assigned regions

 

Tax Projects:
 

  • Provide assistance with the preparation of transfer pricing local files in respect of the Middle East region
  • Oversee DAC6 compliance & EU Black listed territories requirements
  • Ownership of Pillar II implementation including, planning, preparation of accounting disclosures and filing of relevant filings and notifications globally
  • Assistance with ad hoc issues e.g. restructuring projects, Tax automation/process improvement etc.

 

 

 

WHT/VAT risk:

 

  • Handle internal withholding tax queries and liaising with global finance teams to ensure the relevant double tax treaty benefits are maximised 
  • Proactively providing guidance and training to minimise WHT/VAT costs suffered by the firm

 

 

Global mobility and PE risks:

  • Monitor the firm's PE risk management policies and processes, including review (at least annually) and recommendations for improvement
  • Review of high-risk territory list and review of travel trackers for high-risk territories
  • Monitoring procedures for any impact on firm's PE risk and responding to notifications raised as a result of PE risk controls
  • Advising on tax implications and suggesting optimal structure for Partner/individual relocations, and implement appropriate tax equalisation calculations for partners

 

 

Skills and experience:

 

  • An appropriate professional financial qualification is essential, preferably ACA or equivalent (and a Tax qualification)
  • Have experience of operating in a global, multi-currency partnership environment
  • International tax experience with a focus on Pillar 2 / TP documentation desirable
  • Be energetic, motivated and confident where you are able to communicate, influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Be able to look outside the organisation for solutions and changes to keep the role and team content contemporary
  • Have an aptitude to find practical, innovative and pragmatic solutions whilst ensuring the integrity of finance is upheld
