The Opportunity
We’re looking for a strategic and proactive Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our Partner Hiring team on a permanent basis.
This is a chance to play a key role in shaping the future of the firm by managing the end‑to‑end recruitment of Partner level talent. Operating as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, this role blends strategic talent insight with exceptional operational delivery to help ensure the firm attracts and secures outstanding and diverse Partner level candidates across our international offices.
This role involves working closely with hiring managers to understand their requirements and develop and deliver on tailored recruitment strategies. It therefore requires excellent market expertise, exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to deliver an outstanding candidate experience whilst maintaining a data-driven strategic and inclusive hiring approach.
This is a hybrid role, with a current requirement of working 3 days on site.
Our Team
The Talent Acquisition team at Eversheds Sutherland is made up of around 30 colleagues across our UK and European offices. Specifically, the Partner Hiring team is split across London, Birmingham and Leeds and comprises of one Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, two Talent Acquisition Business Partners and a Talent Acquisition Coordinator. Together, we are focussed on delivering an outstanding hiring manager and candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the strategic hiring of Partners across the firm and deliver effective and timely end to end Partner recruitment
- Provide strategic counsel to senior stakeholders on hiring approach and market competitiveness
- Work effectively with Finance, HR, and leadership on Business Cases, approvals, and compensation modelling
- Keep senior stakeholders fully updated on progress with their active hiring
- Support the refinement of international Partner recruitment processes, ensuring consistency across regions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, systems, and technology used in the Partner recruitment lifecycle
- Build strong relationships with recruitment agencies and monitor their performance to ensure access to high quality and diverse talent
- Ensure Partner level candidates receive a best in class experience throughout the process
- Produce market maps and landscape analysis to inform hiring decisions and undertake direct sourcing where appropriate
- Develop an understanding of internal and external Partner remuneration structures
- Work closely with the Partner HR function to enable a seamless handover and transition
- Capture, maintain, and store meaningful feedback for all candidates and hires
- Maintain and provide regular, accurate data and reports
- Manage multiple priorities and requests proactively and effectively
- Collaborate with international stakeholders and teams across the business
- Support the Senior Manager in maintaining local market knowledge, including competitor activity and publicly available insights
- Help position the firm as an employer of choice and clearly articulate our value proposition to candidates
- Contribute to team and department wide strategic projects
- Support the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager and International Head of Recruitment with delivering on the strategic partner hiring growth plans
Skills and Experience
We are looking for:
- Experience of working in legal recruitment role, ideally within a professional services environment
- Experience of working in an international business
- Knowledge and understanding of the legal Partner Recruitment process and remuneration frameworks
- Track record of managing multiple projects and priorities, with enhanced attention to detail
- Proactive, innovative and willing to challenge, with the confidence to take the initiative and create solutions to support the Partnership
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, supported by use of PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- An interest in GenAI, innovation and technology
