Konexo was developed in 2011 by global law firm Eversheds Sutherland. As pioneers in alternative legal service provision, Konexo provides an extended range of legal and compliance services – all supported by advanced technology, smart systems, and bright minds. We work extremely closely with our Financial Services lawyers, identifying, pitching for and winning new client mandates to support firms that are either proactively enhancing their internal compliance systems and controls or reacting to regulatory scrutiny through thematic reviews or enhanced supervision.

 

Our Financial Services consultancy supports leading banks, fintechs, asset managers and insurance firms with specialist regulatory, compliance and operational resourcing solutions.

 

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Financial Crime Director or Senior Manager to play a senior leadership role across our advisory, remediation and regulatory transformation programmes for financial services clients.

 

This role will combine deep financial crime expertise with client leadership, business development support and programme oversight. The Director will work closely with senior Konexo leaders and client stakeholders to deliver a market-leading regulatory, risk and compliance consultancy service.

 

This is a pivotal role for the Konexo Financial Services, enabling high-quality delivery, supporting client growth and strengthening Konexo’s reputation in the financial crime market. We are therefore looking for a collaborative, highly motivated individual who wants to help grow the business and their career.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Lead and oversee financial crime advisory and delivery work across areas such as AML, sanctions and fraud.
  • Act as a senior subject matter expert on large scale remediation, regulatory change and transformation programmes.
  • Provide oversight, challenge and quality assurance across client deliverables.
  • Support the development of junior consultants and managers through coaching and mentoring .
  • Help shape the evolution of Konexo’s delivery models.

 Business Development & Market Engagement

  • Support business development activity, including shaping propositions, contributing to client pitches and client discussions.
  • Work alongside senior leaders to take Konexo’s financial crime capabilities to market.
  • Act as a visible and credible senior representative of Konexo Financial Services in the financial crime market.

Programme Oversight & Risk Management

  • Maintain oversight of delivery risk across programmes, ensuring client commitments are met to a high standard.
  • Support effective governance, issue escalation and decision making.
  • Apply professional judgement to manage regulatory, operational and delivery risk.

 

Skills and Experience

We are looking to speak to candidates who hold the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in leading a financial crime, compliance or regulatory advisory team within financial services.
  • Hands on financial crime expertise e.g. AML, sanctions, KYC, fraud, monitoring, etc.
  • Significant experience leading large-scale financial crime remediation, transformation or managed service programmes.
  • Background in consulting, professional services or complex in-house change environments.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading client engagements and influencing at a senior level.
  • Commercial awareness, with experience of supporting business development and client growth strategies.
