Role Purpose

This manager-level role will support the design, delivery and embedding of the Client Development AI Roadmap, helping the department move through the stages of the AI maturity model. The end goal of the roadmap is to maximise the efficiency, efficacy and quality of output across Client Development by codifying high-value AI use cases, creating repeatable prompts, assistants and agents, and scaling adoption through clear governance, playbooks, training and a human-in-the-loop approach.

About the Role

  • Support the AI Working Group, comprising representatives from each part of the department, to move agreed AI use cases from idea stage into practical, embedded ways of working.
  • Create and manage the internal infrastructure required to capture, prioritise, govern and track AI workstreams across Client Development.
  • Work with Client Development leadership to ensure prompts, agents and workflow improvements are adopted consistently across the department, rather than isolated experiments or individual good practice.
  • Analyse usage, adoption and impact, and report back to leadership on progress, risks, benefits realised and areas requiring further support.
  • Provide additional project management capacity across related transformation priorities, including CRM implementation and pitch process improvement where required.

AI Transformation Responsibilities

  • Manage the outputs of the AI Working Group to codify agreed use cases and create a shared use case and prompt library that is easy for the team to access, maintain and apply.
  • Project manage the creation of workflow-specific assistants and agents that package repeatable Client Development activity into practical projects, skills and reusable outputs.
  • Support the transition from individual AI use cases to more connected workflow automation, including the chaining of agents where appropriate and in line with firm governance.
  • Manage the creation of playbooks, guidance and training materials that help colleagues understand when and how to use prompts, assistants and agents effectively.
  • Work with Client Development leadership to embed a human-in-the-loop approach to quality control, risk management and responsible use, ensuring outputs remain commercially sound, accurate and aligned to firm standards.

Operations, Adoption and Reporting

  • Manage the department’s AI transformation plan alongside Client Development leaders, ensuring workstreams are clearly scoped, prioritised, resourced and delivered against agreed milestones.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across Client Development, IT and other relevant teams to ensure proposed AI solutions are practical, compliant and developed aligned with wider firm priorities.
  • Track adoption, usage and impact of AI tools and workflows across the department, including identifying barriers to usage and recommending interventions to improve uptake.
  • Maintain governance, documentation and reporting for the AI Working Group.
  • Support related transformation activity, including CRM implementation and pitch process improvement projects, where there is overlap with workflow design, data quality, adoption and change management.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong project management capability, with the ability to turn strategic aims into structured plans, milestones and deliverables.
  • Practical understanding of AI tools, prompts, assistants and workflow automation, with the confidence to translate new technology into everyday working practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to bring together representatives from different parts of the department around shared priorities.
  • Strong change management mindset, including experience supporting adoption, training, governance and continuous improvement.
  • Commercially minded, collaborative and highly organised, with an interest in improving the quality, consistency and impact of Client Development outputs.
  • AI and project management qualifications or certifications desirable.
