What to expect

As Transformation Manager, you will play a central role in shaping the future of Finance Operations at Eversheds Sutherland. This is a highly visible position, working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Practice Groups to deliver meaningful change.

  • The Transformation Manager will lead strategic initiatives to modernize and enhance Finance Operations across Eversheds Sutherland. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, embedding innovative technologies, and ensuring processes align with the firm’s global objectives.
  • You will be responsible for delivering efficiencies through automation, optimizing workflows, and maintaining full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. A key focus will be on implementing sustainable solutions that support long-term growth, including the review and integration of AI opportunities within existing platforms.
  • This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Finance Operations, working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver transformation that underpins the firm’s commitment to quality, consistency, and client service.

 

Role and key responsibilities

Strategic Transformation

  • Develop and deliver a roadmap for Finance Operations transformation aligned with firm strategy.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost optimisation.
  • Support key projects to ensure successful implementation

 

Process & Policy Optimisation

  • Review and redesign workflows to improve efficiency and scalability across Finance Operations.
  • Ensure adherence to updated policies, including virtual credit card restrictions and agreed exceptions.

 

Technology & Automation

  • Drive adoption and optimisation of systems such as Concur and Precision Pay.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to implement digital tools and automation solutions.
  • Oversee integration and training for new technologies to ensure a smooth transition.

 

Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and execute change management strategies to support transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Practice Groups to secure engagement and buy-in.

 

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all transformation activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on progress, risks, and benefits realisation to senior leadership.

 

Skills and Experience

 

We are looking for

  • Proven experience in finance operations, process improvement, and transformation projects within a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of expense management systems (e.g., Concur) and payment solutions (e.g., Precision Pay).
  • Excellent project management skills, ideally with experience in Agile or similar methodologies.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
