Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the International Client Team Manager within Connect, you will manage your own workload and contribute to the team's objectives by delivering a high standard of service in a timely and professional manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing analytical support and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Escalating issues to the International Client Team Manager and Client Partner in a timely manner.
- Coordinating legal matters from instruction and matter opening through to closure.
- Managing the creation and delivery of billing for some of the firm's largest and most complex global clients.
- Driving financial hygiene by supporting partners, fee earners and business support teams with billing, work-in-progress management and debt recovery.
- Delivering an exceptional client experience to both clients and stakeholders across the Eversheds Sutherland international network.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Producing weekly and monthly reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring all client-specific weekly and monthly processes and checklists are completed accurately and on time.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to work independently.
- The ability to identify issues, assess risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering quality work.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to reprioritise workloads when required.
- Previous experience within finance, billing, revenue control or accounts payable would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training can be provided.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience using finance systems or legal practice management systems would be beneficial.
- Previous experience within a professional services environment would be advantageous.
