Role Purpose
The Disbursement Administrator/Internal Biller role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and well-controlled internal billing and negative cost activities across the business, including complex and international transactions. The role supports the continued growth and stabilisation of internal billing processes, particularly following service transitions, by managing high-volume transactional activity, resolving exceptions, and responding to stakeholder queries.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, the role ensures costs are correctly allocated, financial information is clearly communicated, and billing processes are continuously improved. Through strong analytical capability and attention to detail, the Finance Analyst contributes to greater financial transparency, operational efficiency, and financial awareness across the organisation.
Disbursement Administrator – Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process negative cost transactions, including responsibility for international negative cost activity
- Perform internal billing activities across multiple business areas, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Support increased billing volumes following the transition of services from Accenture
- Manage anticipated and exception-based cost requests during transition periods
- Monitor and respond to a high-volume shared mailbox, handling queries related to product billing, write-offs, secondments, and seminar allocations
- Support the growing use of product billing across the business
- Contribute to the refinement and stabilisation of negative cost and billing processes following service transitions
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve complex billing and cost allocation issues
- Assist with documentation, process improvements, and ongoing operational support
Skills and experience:
- Strong understanding of financial transactions, cost allocations, and internal billing processes
- Experience analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and anomalies
- High attention to detail with the ability to reconcile data and investigate discrepancies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial information
- Experience working in finance systems and managing large volumes of transactional data
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, reconciliations, and data analysis
- Comfortable working in a changing environment with evolving processes
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
