Role and key responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and managing a Commercial Finance Analyst, the Commercial Finance Manager – International Operations is the key business partner for all of the head office support function Leads (International Operation “IO” Leads) and works closely with other teams in Finance including Financial Control and the international offices, and with the Senior HR Business Partner. The Commercial IO Finance team is responsible for the results and reporting for all IO areas and is the key finance contact for the IO Leads. This is a high profile role with exposure to senior members of the management team.
This role is accountable for:
- Business Partnering, alongside HR, with each of the International Operations (IO) leads to include presenting and discussing results, forecasts and budgets on a monthly basis.
- Add insights and proactively suggest additional analysis to support the IO leads.
- Leading the month-end close for IO reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage the month-end IO reporting pack process (produced using XL cubed), contributing to an efficient month-end close process.
- Produce detailed month-end packs with insightful commentary for each IO area, providing country and regional analysis as required.
- Manage the annual budget process for all IO.
- Produce papers and present financials in annual budget meetings with the CFO and Managing Partner.
- Streamlining of processes and process improvement within areas of accountability to create efficiencies.
- Streamline and automate the current reporting suite.
- Other ad hoc IO projects as required.
- Management, coaching and development of the Commercial Finance Analyst.
Skills and experience
- Passionate business partner with ability to quickly develop relationships and to flex style as required.
- Professionally qualified accountant with industry experience.
- Previous management accounts and business partnering experience.
- Ability to get involved in the detail when required.
- Partnership and international experience preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to work effectively, build strong relationships and be able to influence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Confident and credible in dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
