Our team

Our Banking & Finance team in Ireland is recognised as one of the leading practices in the market, combining deep local expertise with the strength and reach of a truly international law firm. We advise various financial institutions, lenders, investors and borrowers across a broad range of financing areas, including real estate finance, development finance, corporate lending, project finance and alternative lending.

The team regularly acts on some of the most significant and high-profile banking and finance transactions in Ireland, providing innovative, commercially focused advice on complex and market-leading deals. Through our global network, we are able to draw on specialist expertise and international resources that set us apart from our competitors, supporting clients both in Ireland and across multiple jurisdictions.

As part of a global Banking & Finance practice of more than 150 lawyers, you will work alongside market-leading professionals with expertise spanning debt facilities, capital markets, derivatives, treasury, structured finance, tax and a broad range of financing transactions.

This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, cross-border matters, collaborate with colleagues across our international offices, and play a key role in delivering strategic advice to some of the world's most recognised financial institutions and corporate clients.

Role and key responsibilities

We are seeking a talented Associate (2-4 years' PQE) to join our market-leading Banking & Finance team in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside some of the leading banking and finance lawyers in Ireland on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions. Acting for banks, financial institutions, alternative lenders, private credit providers, sponsors, investors and corporate borrowers, you will advise on a broad range of financing matters across multiple sectors and industries.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and ambitious team that is recognised for advising on many of the most significant financing transactions in the Irish market. You will have the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility from an early stage, work directly with clients, and develop your career as part of an international practice with a strong global network.

Skills and experience

We are looking for:

• 2-4 years' post-qualification experience gained within a leading Banking & Finance practice, qualified in Ireland or a similar common law jurisdiction.
• Experience advising on banking and finance transactions, including exposure to secured lending, corporate lending, real estate finance, development finance, acquisition finance or related areas.
• Strong technical legal and drafting ability, with excellent attention to detail.
• Sound commercial judgment and an ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice.
• Experience managing transactions and coordinating multiple workstreams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive, collaborative and enthusiastic approach to working within a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in business development and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining high professional standards.
