Our team

The Service Excellence Solutions (SES) Team collaborates with legal teams and clients to develop our outward facing technology solutions and further increase our innovation offering. We at Eversheds Sutherland understand the need to ensure the fundamentals are delivered across the firm, but also that there will be a growing need to look at emerging and innovative technology to allow the firm to continue to deliver a high quality service to our Clients. The Team focuses on how we can improve the service we deliver to our Clients across the firm, whether that’s through the use of technology, innovation or process improvements.

 

We’re looking for an experienced Power Platform Developer with extensive knowledge and experience level across the full software development lifecycle and the ability to translate business requirements into working solutions.They would be required to ensure we have aligned strategic goals with our Delivery and Operations (D&O) teams with regards to enterprise architecture and cyber security. They would also be expected to look at ways of improving existing processes to improve technical delivery taking into account future technology trends and what may be up and coming. You may be required to carry out R&D and rapid prototyping to provide early indications on options for new business platforms.

 

Role and key responsibilities

Working closely with a diverse range of IT, Innovation and Project Management colleagues, in this role you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing and deploying custom applications and workflows that leverage our Microsoft suite of tools like Power Platform and its integrations to meet business needs and enhance profitability and value. This is key to achieving our client service delivery ambitions, ensuring we are delivering bespoke, efficient and valuable innovative technology solutions for our clients' needs.

 

  • Liaising with BRMs (Business Relationship Managers) and other key individuals across the firm to understand their goals.
  • Working with our Suppliers to progress any technical deliverables/changes and make sure roadmaps are communicated the teams involved.
  • Supporting Power Platform solution upgrades and other maintenance activities, whilst ensuring good change management is followed.
  • Assuming responsibility for reviewing, triaging and resolving any issues that are escalated from the Support and Business Teams.
  • Facilitating the delivery of solutions with cyber security and risk in mind.
  • Helping to define and promote good practice with regards to technical delivery.
  • Fostering excellent relationships within the SES Team and Practice Group Teams, working collaboratively to understand their requirements alongside challenges.
  • Coordinating from inception to delivery and bringing the right teams together while taking overall accountability for the process.

 

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Must have hands-on development experience across Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages, working with both SQL and dataverse data models and API and integration experience.  
  • Must have experience in using Azure and how components come together when designing solutions within or external to the Power Platform.
  • Must have an understanding of low level solution architecture, to be able to explain design decisions and draft design/data flow diagram along with security considerations in mind.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with technical teams and non-technical  teams.
  • Desirable:
  • Extenstive understanding of the broader Microsoft stack including Azure DevOps with CI/CD Pipeline definitions with YAML.
  • An understanding of the Power Platform and how the ecosystem works within the suite of technologies.
  • Knowledge/experience of Microsoft Azure Open AI and using the latest components would be beneficial.
