The Opportunity
We’re looking for a strategic and proactive Recruiter to join our Experienced Hires team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This contract will cover a period of maternity leave.

 

This is a chance to play a key role in shaping how we attract, assess and hire exceptional talent across the firm. You’ll lead end to end recruitment processes, advise hiring managers on attraction, selection and offer management and contribute to continuous improvement across our hiring practices. You’ll work closely with business services stakeholders to deliver tailored recruitment solutions that reflect our inclusive values and support our business goals.

 

Our Team

The Recruitment team at Eversheds Sutherland is made up of around 30 colleagues across our UK and European offices. Specifically, the Experienced Hires team is split across Birmingham and Leeds and comprises of three Recruiters, two Recruitment Coordinators and a Senior Recruitment Manager. Together, we are focussed on delivering an outstanding hiring manager and candidate experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers across our IT, Finance and Marketing teams.
  • Provide market insights and data to inform hiring decisions and business cases.
  • Lead end to end recruitment processes from briefing through to offer stage.
  • Design sourcing and selection strategies tailored to each vacancy.
  • Adopt direct sourcing strategies where possible and minimise agency spend.
  • Ensure a seamless hiring manager and candidate experience through timely and credible communication.
  • Influence decision-making through data, insight and best practice.
  • Coach hiring managers on interview techniques and candidate assessment.
  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to align recruitment with broader People strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, technology and tools.
  • Partner with Coordinators to ensure an efficient interview booking process.
  • Contribute to employer branding and talent attraction initiatives.

 

Skills and Experience

We are looking for:

  • Experience of working in a talent acquisition role, ideally within professional services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and expectations.
  • Familiarity with sourcing tools (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter, Pirical) and applicant tracking systems.
  • A growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
