Our team
The Eversheds Sutherland IT Delivery and Operations Team offers a highly rewarding experience for IT Professionals joining the firm. As a department we maintain systems and ensure our data is secure, we deliver large scale projects and associated benefits, we provide the right technology solutions to our colleagues along with excellent support, service and training across all our office locations.
Due to our growth and development, we are recruiting a Product Manager to join our Data & Analytics team. This role, along with the IT function this position resides in, is crucial to our overall success as a department
Role and key responsibilities
The Product Manager will be accountable for ongoing strategic development of our key data and analytics products across the firm. This includes managing the ongoing delivery, pipeline, quality and reliability improvements and maintenance of those solutions, as well as governance models and supplier management.
Day-to-day responsibilities and activities may involve, but are not limited to, helping to define and manage roadmaps, prioritising features, working with senior business stakeholders to understand the needs and delivering appropriate solutions that meet business objectives and drive value, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, and helping to track and drive adoption across the firm through regular metrics/reporting as well as building appropriate “communities” to help evangelize and raise awareness across the firm. A large part of the role will be centered around delivering and embedding financial data and analytics products.
The role may suit someone with a background in product ownership and Agile methodology when delivering technology projects using dev ops, as well as excellence communication and enthusiasm driving ‘data driven’ decision making and self-service.
- Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics the Product Owner will support the delivery of our data and analytics CoE strategy in line with the firm-wide strategy.
- Leads and supports on projects within the Data and Analytics workstream to both raise the profile of the team’s objectives firm-wide as well as ensuring it becomes embedded in day to day practice in line with the firm-wide strategy.
- Have a specific focus of internally driving the awareness and adoption of data and analytics solutions and ensuring that they are embedded in day to day practice and using that to enhance the overall product offering.
- Builds excellent relationships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively with them to understand their requirements alongside any challenges in order to deliver solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Takes a proactive role in upskilling stakeholders in data and analytics products across the firm to support in our self-service strategy
Skills and experience
We are looking for:
- Excellent academic qualifications from a reputable training institution
- Strong day to day self-management with a focus on service excellence and delivery whilst role modelling exemplary behaviour's in line with the firm’s purpose and values.
- Excellent communication skills in a variety of situations and when dealing with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to influence senior business stakeholders.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Confident and credible in dealing with stakeholders with the ability to build lasting and strong relationships.
- Has a strong technical ability and proficiency with the ability to translate technology to an understandable manner for a variety of audiences to understand.
- Innovative and solution oriented with a positive outlook.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present finding and analysis in an understandable format to stakeholders.
