Our Team

Our full service Real Estate team is one of the biggest of any global law firm, consistently top-ranked across directories worldwide, serving clients in sectors from Financial Services and Energy to Health, TMT, and beyond.

Our Corporate Real Estate team in Birmingham acts for a stellar roster of corporate occupiers, many of them household names. The work spans everything from landmark HQ relocations to day-to-day estate management, as well as real estate support for our insolvency, banking, and corporate colleagues. Role and Key Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:
•     Supporting the negotiation and delivery of a broad range of real estate transactions, including surrenders, lease renewals, licences, acquisitions, and disposals, helping to shape and execute our clients' property strategies.
•    Analysing search results, investigating title, and reviewing negotiated documents to ensure transactions proceed smoothly and risks are identified early.
•    Taking ownership of the completion process and post-completion workstreams, including preparing SDLT returns and Land Registry applications, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
•     Acting as a key point of contact for colleagues, opposing lawyers, and clients, developing your professional network and client-facing skills from day one.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract. 

 

What We're Looking For

•    Hands-on experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant within a commercial real estate legal team, ideally with exposure to tenant/occupier-side transactions. 
•    Excellent academic qualifications paired with solid technical ability and a genuine interest in property law.
•    A team-first mindset, bringing energy, initiative, and a proactive approach to everything you do.
•    Outstanding communication skills with an ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike, and to communication clearly both in writing and in person.
•    The ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, prioritising effectively to meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
•    A methodical approach to work, with a sharp eye for accuracy and a commitment to getting things right.
•    Self-motivated, enthusiastic about delivering excellent client service, and keen to develop your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
