About the Team
The Knowledge Insights Team plays a crucial role in our key client programme, our global campaigns and priority sectors. We offer strategic research services and create fantastic client-facing products. The Team leads on tracking market trends and global legal and regulatory changes, keeping our lawyers ahead of the game. We transform this intelligence into high quality publications that support our relationships with priority clients.
This role is perfect for anyone wanting an exciting alternative legal career supporting our lawyers deliver knowledge products to clients. It is best suited to someone who wants to know more about new laws and how they impact global organisations. Suitable backgrounds include paralegal or marketing roles looking to shift into client-facing knowledge. It would also be suitable for anyone that has previously worked in compliance or has experience working in relevant consultancies. We would also be interested in highly motivated law graduates or other relevant degree graduates.
You will enjoy developing an understanding of our different sectors and client needs in relation to the impact that legal and regulatory developments has on them. And working closely with our lawyers, knowledge colleagues, the marketing team and clients.
Role and key responsibilities
- Support the management of our knowledge tools
- Work directly with our marketing & legal teams, and clients
- Develop a detailed knowledge of our sectors and clients
- Help build our tailored horizon scanning and regulatory reports (and managing their deadlines)
- Deliver bespoke client training reports
- Support the review of our client facing products
- Manage our intranet pages and internal comms
- Deal with internal queries in relation to our reports, tools and products
- Provide administrative support to the Knowledge Insights team
- Project work and other tasks as required
Skills and experience
Key attributes include:
- A degree level qualification, ideally a law degree but not essential
- Time management and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and diary management skills
- Customer service skills
- A high level of IT literacy
- Ability to meet tight deadlines on a regular basis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Keen interest in legal and regulatory developments
Experience in the legal and/or commercial sector is preferable but is not essential as training will be provided.
Competencies required:
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, in an autonomous and independent way
- A lively, energetic personality and a practical can-do mentality
- A tenacious yet practical approach to problem solving
- Excited and challenged by the pace and demands of a corporate environment
- Comfortable working with large amounts qualitative data and learning new knowledge systems (training will be given)
- Commercial awareness
- Some travel to other offices may be required
