Role and key responsibilities
Eversheds Sutherland are seeking a Junior Security Analyst to join our expanding Cyber Security team . You will be reporting to the Cyber Security Operations Lead within the IT department; having responsibility for managing Security Incidents relating to common cyber attacks, such as Phishing and URL protection alerts, and mitigation of other security risks.
You will help monitoring the health and security of IT assets; and for incident response and resolution, and for escalating risks appropriately.

- Works with information security leadership to enforce security controls and escalate identified risks.
- Reports to Eversheds Sutherland's management concerning email based risks, vulnerabilities and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance.
- Works with Eversheds Sutherland's IT department and members of the information security team to strengthen security controls.
- Follow security processes and procedures, and supports service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained appropriately
- Monitor and report in a professional manner; clearly highlighting the current state of Security Operations and any associated risks
- Provide second- and third-level support and analysis during and after a security incident
- Manage the resolution of reported security incidents tickets
- Participate in security investigations and compliance reviews, where necessary
- Act as a liaison between incident response leads and subject matter experts
- Create and monitor daily or weekly reports and security tools for events
- Use a common set of security tools.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend remedial action
- Assist in the update and completion of information security operations documentation
- Partner effectively to ensure IT response and continuity plans are understood
- Improve security incident run books and processes when required
- Day to day security operational continuous improvement
- Provide input and support to audit requests

Skills and experience
- Service Delivery experience, using a range of ITIL based processes
- Ability to process common Security incidents quickly
- Understanding of delivering process improvement for Cyber Operations
- Basic knowledge of Security Operations services and processes
- Understanding of security consoles for Anti-virus/EDR, Vulnerability Management and Email Security
- Good Incident Management and communication skills
- Effective team player
- Good listener
