We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support, enhance, and continuously improve our Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The role is focused on engineering, automation, security, and operational excellence, supporting business‑critical services across multiple international locations.


The Azure Cloud Engineer role is part of our Azure & Infrastructure Team and works closely with Identity & Messaging, Security, and regional IT teams to ensure that our cloud services are secure, resilient, cost‑effective, and aligned with organisational standards.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Providing /L3 support across the breadth of Azure services. Including but not limited to; Azure IAAS, PAAS, Terraform, Containers, Subscription and Tenant management, Azure DevOps, Azure security.
  • Build, maintain and Implement Infrastructure as a code using Terraform to align with evolving business requirements in a efficient way.
  • Automate workflows and processes using Logic Apps, Azure Functions or other tools.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud performance, availability and reliability issues.
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met using Azure policies, roles and permissions.
  • Design, maintain and enhance a portfolio of Terraform scripts to align with evolving business requirements.
  • Implement Azure infrastructure and services in line with designs, standards, and guidance set by the Azure & Infrastructure Team Leader.
  • Member of an On-Call Rota for out-of-hours P1 major incident.

 

 

Skills and experience

 

 

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and attributes:

 

    • You will have have hands on commercial experience as an Azure administration or engineering, ideally in a corporate setting.
    • Strong knowledge of Azure services and features, such as Azure Management, Terraform Containers, Private Endpoints, Azure networking (VNets, VPN, peering, private endpoints), Azure compute and storage services.
    • Experience in using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other tools for version control and CI/CD.
    • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and tools, such as Azure Security Center, or Azure Key Vault.
    • Certification in Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert is a plus.
