About Eversheds Sutherland

At Eversheds Sutherland, we are a global law firm with more than 5,000 people across over 30 countries. We combine deep sector knowledge with a collaborative, forward-thinking approach to help clients navigate complex legal and regulatory change.

About the Team

The Knowledge Insights Team sits at the intersection of legal knowledge, client insight and business development. We track legal, regulatory and market developments and turn them into clear, commercially relevant insight for our lawyers and clients.

Based across the UK and Brussels, the team includes researchers, and knowledge lawyers. A key focus of the team is horizon scanning which includes identifying emerging developments and helping clients understand what matters next.

This role sits within our Brussels-based EU Knowledge Hub, focused on monitoring EU legal and regulatory developments and producing client-facing insights.

The Role

We are looking for a Researcher to join our Brussels knowledge hub. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys research, writing, and analysing emerging legal and policy developments from a commercial perspective.

The role involves monitoring EU legal and regulatory change, supporting client and business development research, drafting concise written insight and contributing to social media content.

What We’re Looking For

You may have experience in a law firm, EU institution, public affairs, policy or research environment, including internships or placements.

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Strong research, analytical and writing skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in client-focused work
  • The ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely
  • Up to approximately 2 years of experience

A law degree is helpful but not essential. We also welcome candidates from backgrounds such as politics, history, international relations or public policy.

What We Offer

You’ll join a collaborative international team working on high-profile European legal and regulatory developments, with the opportunity to build strong commercial, research and writing experience in a leading global law firm.

Application Information

We welcome the use of AI tools as part of the application process. However, we encourage candidates to ensure applications remain personal, tailored and reflective of their own experience, motivations and writing style.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Eversheds Sutherland, inclusion is one of our core values. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered where possible, and we are happy to discuss any support or adjustments needed during the recruitment process.

For you.
For your success.
And what’s next.
