We are seeking an experienced marketing and business development professional to join our Benelux Client Development & Marketing team in Amsterdam.  

 

Our team
The Amsterdam office is part of Eversheds Sutherland’s wider Benelux offering, which also includes our teams in Rotterdam, Brussels and Luxembourg. As a fast-growing and ambitious practice, the Benelux team advises clients on both domestic and international matters, working closely with colleagues across the global Eversheds Sutherland network.

 

Our lawyers in the Benelux are active in a range of key practice areas, including M&A, Financial Services, Banking & Finance, Tax, Corporate Notarial Services, Litigation, Real Estate & Planning, Employment & Pensions and Data, Privacy & Technology. Together, we serve clients across sectors such as industrials, TMT, energy, financial institutions, and life sciences.

 

Role and key responsibilities
Reporting to the Client Development Manager – Benelux Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our strategy to expand our market presence and client relationships in the Netherlands and Brussels, plus a link to Luxembourg. 

 

Working closely with partners and international colleagues, you will help drive impactful business development initiatives, enhance visibility in the Benelux market, and support our ambitious growth plans.

 

Key responsibilities
-Advise and support key partners on client targeting, profile-raising, and business development opportunities. Develop, execute, and monitor marketing and business development initiatives that strengthen our position in the Benelux market
-Prepare high-quality client-facing materials, including pitches, proposals, and presentations
-Maintain and improve the accuracy of capability statements, experience databases, and other marketing collateral
-Coordinate and deliver digital and physical campaigns, including social media, website content, events, and webinars
-Collaborate closely with international colleagues on the localisation and rollout of global campaigns
-Manage the legal directories and awards submissions process

 


Skills and experience
We are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in a varied, international setting:

 

-2–5 years’ experience in a marketing and business development role, ideally within a professional services firm with an international footprint
-Experience supporting or delivering marketing plans, campaigns, events, thought leadership and business development initiatives
-Strong project management skills and ability to prioritise activities that deliver business value
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
-High attention to detail combined with the ability to keep sight of the bigger picture
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels
-Proactive, positive mindset and a “can-do” attitude
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively within both local and international teams
-Willingness to travel every two months
